Agartala Press Club Organized Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of Agartala Press Club was held on Sunday. Agartala Press Club President Jayant Bhattacharya, Vice President Sajjad Ali, Senior Journalists Srota Ranjan Khisa, Arun Nath, Sanjib Deb, Samir Pal, Chitra Roy was present in the meeting.

Agartala Press Club Secretary Ramakanta Dey presented the  report and the club's income and expenditure account. 16 senior and new journalists discussed on this  report and income and expenses. Senior journalist Srota Ranjan Khisa started the discussion. Moreover, senior journalists Chitra Roy, Shekhar Dutta, Samir Pal, Sanjib Deb, Samir Dhar along with prominent journalists Uttam Chakraborty, Suprabhat Debnath, Debashish Majumdar, Subhash Das, Sutpa Guha, Meghdhan Deb, Chandrima Sarkar and Samir Debbarma openly discussed the resourceful report. Discussed by Associate Members Parijat Dutta and Harihar Debnath also.

All gave valuable suggestions as well as fully supported the report. The secretary said that efforts will be made to implement the important suggestions of the general meeting while giving a reply speech.

 
President Jayanta Bhattacharya thanked all the members for their help in running the club in the last one year. In the annual general meeting of this day, tributes were paid to the memory of late founder members Gautam Das, Paritosh Biswas, senior members Dulal Chakraborty, Partha Sengupta, Debashish Barua, young journalist Konad Modak and two associate members Kalyan Gupta and Sushanta Debbarma.
