Amit Shah Filed Nomination From Gandhinagar Lok Sabha Seat

Union Home Minister Amit Shah filed his nomination papers from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat on Friday. He is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from here for the second consecutive time.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was also present along with Amit Shah. He submitted his nomination papers before the Gandhinagar Collector and District Election Officer in the state capital at exactly 12.39 pm. This time is considered as 'Vijay Muhurta'.

The former BJP president had won the Gandhinagar constituency in the 2019 general elections by a margin of over 5 lakh votes. 

After filing nomination, Amit Shah said, 'I have filed nomination from Gandhinagar seat and  it is a matter of pride for me that this seat was represented by LK Advani, Atal ji and the seat from which Narendra Modi himself is a voter. I have been an MLA and MP from this seat for 30 years. The people of this region have given me a lot of love." He said,  'This election is the election to make Narendra Modi the PM for the third time. Modi ji has secured the country and India will develop by 2047.'

Let us tell you that former BJP President Shah had won from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency in 2019 by a margin of more than five lakh votes. In the past, this Lok Sabha seat has been represented by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani.

Opposition Congress has fielded party secretary Sonal Patel from Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat. Patel had filed his nomination papers on Tuesday. Voting will be held in a single phase on May 7 in all 26 Lok Sabha constituencies in Gujarat.

Voting for all 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat will be held in the third phase on May 7.
