If BJP comes back to power, the electoral system will end in the country. This is the last time the countrymen will witness the election. Because, people's right to vote will be taken away".

CPIM politburo member and former chief minister of Tripura Manik Sarkar said this in the election rally in Bilonia under South Tripura District held in support of the candidates of India Block.

Manik Sarkar also said that the Prime Minister of the country himself does not believe in democracy. The BJP government led by the Prime Minister is leading to the destruction of democracy. BJP government will create a new 'democracy'

He also said that it is not written in the constitution that one has to accept religion to get citizenship. If you don't accept the religion, you will lose your citizenship. it's wrong. A nation cannot have any religion. All religions are equal in the eyes of the nation. The nation or its leadership cannot show affection towards any particular religion.

Sarkar also  said loudly that BJP is the first political party in Tripura to sit in the government despite getting less votes. BJP government is scared so they are following undemocratic system. People have no reason to fear.

Opposition leader Jitendra Chowdhury said that the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are a war. This war is a war to protect democracy and constitution. BJP is in power by getting only 39% votes in 2023 assembly elections. 60% people of the state rejected the ruling party. Because the people are being cheated.
