Gary Kirsten, The Coach of 2011 World Cup Winner Indian Team, Become Coach of Pakistan

Pakistan cricket team has appointed Gary Kirsten of South Africa as the white ball coach. It was under the leadership of Gary Kirsten that India won the 2011 ODI World Cup after 28 years. 

Apart from this, the head coach of Pakistan in red ball cricket i.e. Test format will be former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie.

Pakistan's new white ball cricket head coach Gary Kirsten also has good experience of IPL. He has been the head coach of franchises like Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. 

Apart from this, Gary Kirsten is also the batting coach as well as mentor of Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024. Gary Kirsten was not only a good coach but also a good player.

He has also played a total of 101 Tests and 185 ODIs in his career for South Africa. During this period, he has scored 7289 runs at an average of 45 in Tests and 6798 runs at an average of 41 in ODIs. 

Gary has 21 centuries and 34 half-centuries to his name in Tests. He has 13 centuries and 45 half-centuries to his name in ODIs.

Jason Gillespie has been a former Australian fast bowler. He has made a lot of headlines in his career. Jason Gillespie has played a total of 71 Tests, 97 ODIs and 1 T20 match in his career. He has 259 wickets in Test and 142 wickets in ODI. Gillespie has taken 1 wicket in T20.

Pakistan Cricket Board has given a big responsibility to Azhar Mahmood. He has been appointed assistant coach of red ball cricket along with white ball.
