PM Modi addressed a public rally in Agartala, Tripura on Wednesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that North East has a major role in making India developed. Justice was not done to the North East states in the years after independence and during the Congress rule.
Prime Minister Modi further said, "Communists ruled Tripura and they ruined the people of Tripura, but today there is a government in Delhi which constantly thinks about the North East.
'For me the North East is not about politics, It's a matter of love and practicality, he said.
Prime Minister Modi further said, 'Today in the Modi government, your mobile bill is Rs 400-500, but if there was a Congress government in Delhi, your mobile bill would not have been not less than Rs 4000 or Rs 5000.
PM Modi further said, "Political parties remember the North East only when they need your votes, during the Congress rule there was only one policy regarding the North East 'Loot East Policy' Modi government changed into Act East Policy."
Prime Minister Modi further said, "We are continuously working for the development of the Northeast. I am the only Prime Minister who has visited the Northeast more than 50 times in a decade. Today, for Tripura, BJP means politics of development."
